EBTC News

Dave:

I have three dates so far for 2008 club trials.

  • 24th February at Belhus Country Park, Ockendon, Essex.

  • This Sunday, 11th May, sees the third round of the EBTC championship held at Barrow Farm. Michael Mitchell (Matthew and Tom's dad) is doing loads of work for the event. He has collected plenty of Chep pallets, cable reels, huge tractor tyres and Land Rovers for us to ride over. There are also new log sections that have been designed and created by Michael with his chainsaw and these should prove challenging for everybody.
The EBTC uses this event to support the horse riding school for the disabled that is run on the farm and we really hope for a good turnout to support this event. If you haven't already entered then please let Dave Bradley know that you are coming by calling 01702 559137.
We are also looking for people to help as observers or for the road crossing that the riders will have to make. Again, if you are able to help then please let Dave know'.

  • 30th March at Hook Wood, West Horsley, Surrey.

  • 11th May at Barrow Farm, Chelmsford, Essex.

  • We will also be hosting the final round of the British BikeTrial Championship at Hook Wood on 21st September. This trial will also include an International European Cup competition.

Please include a S.A.E. addressed to the ACU when you send them to me. Also make sure you have paid the correct postage. It has to pass through a 165 mm slot, be no thicker than 5mm and weigh less than 100g for a normal 1st or 2nd class stamp. Anything else requires a large letter stamp. Wrong postage means a six mile round journey for me to collect your mail from the Sorting Office, pay £1.06 to the Post Office (underpaid postage + fine) and my petrol costs, please check the size of your letter before posting and make sure you have the correct stamps on it.
